Francesca Marchese Journalist

I'm a Sicilian journalist based in Central London

with over 10 years’ experience in the industry.

I am currently working as a fixer and contributor for a variety of clients including Mail On Sunday, Daily Mail and BBC Radio (WATO/PM and The Food Programme). I worked with major press agencies (Italpress) and my articles have been published by a wide range of newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, Gambero Rosso and the Huffington Post. I have discussed news stories on NTV Europe, Soho Radio and Hoxton Radio. Learn more here.

Recently I focused my interest on the Italian-Bangladeshi community in London: my research is published in Italian by Fondazione Migrantes in the book "Rapporto Italiani nel Mondo 2016" (Italians abroad 2016).

I work as a media consultant for numerous organizations in the culture and food sector, consistently demonstrating my ability to increase brand awareness and create good media coverage (Time Out, Londonist, Wall Street Journal and more). Find out more about what I can do for you, have a look here.

My ability in written Italian has been rated as outstanding: full mark with distinction, and special mention ("30 e lode, e menzione speciale").

So you want to be a journalist? I teach basic principles on the Press, TV, Radio, News Agencies, Press Offices, Professional Ethics.  Click here.
