Francesca Marchese Journalist

I'm a Sicilian journalist based in Central London

with over 10 years’ experience in the industry.

I am currently working as a fixer and contributor for a variety of clients including Mail On Sunday, Daily Mail and BBC Radio. I worked with major press agencies (Italpress) and my articles have been published by a wide range of newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, Gambero Rosso and the Huffington Post. I have discussed news stories on NTV Europe, Soho Radio and Hoxton Radio. Learn more here.

I write in Italian for the "Rapporto Italiani nel Mondo" by Fondazione Migrantes.  In 2017 I wrote about Sicilians abroad and about Italians in UK prisons; in 2016 I focused my interest on the Italian-Bangladeshi community in London.

I have been elected membership secretary of the London Freelance Branch on the National Union of Journalist for two years.

I work as a media consultant for numerous organizations in the culture and food sector. Find out more about what I can do for you, have a look here.

My ability in written Italian has been rated as outstanding: full mark with distinction, and special mention ("30 e lode, e menzione speciale").
